119 Bachelorette Party Quotes for Invitations (from cute to tongue in cheek)
A girl’s night out to put all other girl’s nights to shame, bachelorette parties are here to stay. No longer just a fun night with a few G&T’s in the local, these bad boys have grown into all out affairs. A big deal, a big day and in some cases a weekend getaway – a destination bachelorette if you will.
And while physical bachelorette party invitations have gone the way of RSVP’s, save the dates, and even wedding invitations, in some cases, to many, they’re still an important aspect of the day.
Whether you’re thinking of going digital and pinging out invites or intending on handing them out, witty one liners won’t go a miss. Scroll down further if you want to dive right in, for those whose first time it is being a planner, bridesmaid or maid of honor, we’ll dive into some house rules first.
What you’ll need to have in order before sending the invites
Guest List
Your bride will likely (and should) give you this. If she hasn’t; ask. While you may be her BFF, who knows all her closest friends, there are bound to be people you wouldn’t even think of. Contact numbers for those people help at this stage too.
Itenirary Wishlist
There’s not a single woman, who ever intended to wed, that hasn’t thought of their bachelorette party. Ask her if there’s anything she wants to do, anywhere in particular she’d like to go. Of course you’ll still add in the extra bits and pieces to personalize and make it special but it is her day.
The Don’t List
Rubber willies were all the rage once upon a time, but these days many are opting out. Some don’t want to be paraded around town in fancy dress, others don’t want a muddy hill climb and would prefer a cocktail hour.
It’s her last evening of fun, remember? The don’t list is just as important, if not more so than the wishlist.
An action plan for the day/weekend
People need to know what’s happening, what to wear, and what to bring. Essentially the bachelorette or hen party needs to be fully planned before you send the invites.
- When is it
- Where are you meeting
- Who is arranging transport
- What food is included/what will need to be paid on the day
- What activities are included
The Cost
And finally… how much will it cost?
Once you’ve pulled all this together you can start creating your invites.
Where to design your bachelorette invitations
There’s no need to splash out on a professional designer (unless you want to) and we certainly don’t have the time to figure out photoshop. My personal favourite for designing these things is Canva. It’s free, it’s intuitive and gives a wonderful final product.
Other free, online options are:
- Visme.
- VistaCreate.
- Stencil.
- Desygner.
- Snappa.
- Adobe Spark.
- Pixlr.
- Genially.
What Should be included on the bachelorette invite
bride’s name
She is our guest of honor after all. Whether your chosing a more formal invite (”Janey cordially requests the pleasure of your company at her bachelorette party”), or a more punchy (Janey has a one way ticket from Miss to Mrs)… her name needs to show up somewhere.
Contact Details
contact information is vital information when trying to manage a large group of women who are ready to party. Whether email address, whatsapp numbers, facebook groups or a phone number, people need to know where to get updates, ask questions, RSVP etc.
Pick the one you deem to be the best way and stick to it across the board.
Time & Location
The time of the party is probably the most important point to get across. Where is it? When are we meeting? Vital. If it’s a surprise party – bold, italic and underline. Make it known that we want to make it the perfect bachelorette party for our bride to be, so the details are not to be discussed.
Theme/Attire
Not all bachelorette’s have the same party vibe. Let people know. Is it bougie, fancy dress, glam? Do they need to don their highest heels, pack their dancing shoes or bring some naughty lingerie?
People feel more comfortable when they know what to expect and what’s expected of them. The dress code and/or theme of the party is one way to take that hassle away.
Cost (Optional)
Most will have a whatsapp group or facebook page to communicate with everybody. Some like the cost to be stated upfront on the invite, others not so much. So send out the feelers, but remember people will need to know how much one way or another.
We want a memorable bachelorette party because of the activities, not because we were blindsided by the cost of it.
Itenerary (optional)
A beautiful design I’ve seen, a number of times, on printed invites is to have the invitation on one side and the itenerary on the other. Again, this can be communicated in other ways but is still a good idea.
If you want to be super extra you can send a bachelorette packing list so no one forgets anything.
And that’s it. Once you’ve decided what necessary details craft the perfect invitation you’re good to go. Here’s our bumper list of quotes to add a bit more fun to them.
